According to the Australian Business in ASEAN Survey 2017, over the past two years, 62% of Australian businesses in the region have expanded their trade and investment and 86% are planning to expand over the next five years.
Founding Director's Note
As the Founding Director of AT Asia Advisory, I’m focused on leveraging my networks and experiences to help Australian businesses better understand the business environment in Southeast Asia.
Over the past decade, I’ve witnessed an evolution in Australian business engagement in the region; a more professional engagement reflecting a deeper understanding of cultural and business opportunities and challenges.
The key to success for Australian businesses operating in Southeast Asia is understanding relationships, being prepared to give the time to develop and nurture those relationships, and ensuring the right environment in which to engage.
It is also in recognising that Southeast Asia is made up of very different country cultures but with a growing regional identity through the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
